The Iron Age Farm at Ullandhaug in Stavanger is a reconstructed farmstead from the Migration Periode (350-550 AD).

The farm is the only farm of its kind in Norway, reconstructed on the original archaeological site. The three houses have equipment and domestic utensils, and there is a fire burning on the original fireplaces. At the Iron Age Farm, you are greeted by the mistress on the farm.

If you are lucky you get a taste of food cooked on the fireplace. It is an unreal sentiment to sit around the fireplace in the same manner as perhaps a family did 1500 years ago.
